Five Key Highlights from Caterpillar at bauma 2025
#1
On April 7 (local time), bauma 2025 officially opened, and Caterpillar made a grand appearance, showcasing a wide range of equipment, technologies, power solutions, and services—all while celebrating the company’s 100th anniversary. Among the many displays, five standout highlights from Caterpillar are drawing special attention at the event:

Highlight 1: Caterpillar Performance Center
This area focuses on the synergistic power of equipment, technology, autonomy, and energy solutions, helping customers boost performance, improve efficiency, and achieve sustainability goals.
Visitors can enjoy immersive simulation experiences to understand how advanced technologies can upgrade fleets, reduce fuel consumption, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
Several battery-powered electric machines are on display, including the Cat 301.9 Mini Hydraulic Excavator, Cat 906 Compact Wheel Loader, and the updated Cat 320 and Cat 950 GC.

Attendees can also explore an electrified jobsite simulation, offering a first-hand look at Caterpillar’s electrification ecosystem and its real-time data insights and energy flows.

Highlight 2: Technology, Connectivity & Safety
Caterpillar experts are demonstrating the latest updates to the VisionLink® platform, covering equipment management, operations, and safety.
The team also showcases the Cat Command remote control solution, enabling operators to control machines from different parts of Europe.
In addition, visitors can learn how Cat Detect enhances both safety and performance, and get an in-depth look at the Cat Grade control systems, including the Cat Grade 3D for excavators and the Cat Payload onboard weighing system.

Highlight 3: Caterpillar's Latest Equipment
The event features a strong lineup of new and next-gen machines, including:
  • The Next Generation Compact Track Loader
  • The new Cat D8 Dozer
  • The Cat 140 AWD Motor Grader
  • The new Cat MH3032 Material Handler
  • The Cat 330 UHD Ultra High Demolition Excavator
  • The Cat M323 Wheeled Excavator for railway applications
  • The new Cat 775 Off-Highway Truck
  • The reintroduced Cat 395 Front Shovel Excavator

Highlight 4: Service & Support Solutions
Caterpillar emphasizes integrated aftermarket solutions that reduce downtime, lower total ownership costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
The display includes digital tools like Cat Customer Value Agreements (CVA), Parts.cat.com, SIS2GO app, and ProductLink™, showcasing how data-driven services can maximize uptime and performance.
With CVA, common maintenance parts are delivered next day, and standard repair parts within two days—delays are compensated (terms vary by region and dealer).
Also on display: Cat Certified Rebuilds and Certified Used Equipment, both extending equipment life. The Equipment Protection Plan (EPP) offers additional warranty options.

Highlight 5: Engines & Power Solutions
Caterpillar is exhibiting several industrial engines compatible with 100% HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) renewable fuel, including the new Cat C13D and the high-performance Cat C3.6.
The show marks the debut of electric drivetrain systems, reflecting Caterpillar’s growing electrification ecosystem.
There’s also a hydrogen engine test zone, highlighting innovation in fuel research, along with the remanufactured Cat C7.1 engine.
The Cat XES60 Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) uses an energy control module to optimize generator performance and reduce fossil fuel consumption and emissions.
Other showcased models include:
  • Cat C9.3B
  • Cat C2.8
  • Cat XQP115 generator set, compatible with HVO

These five highlights underscore Caterpillar’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer value as it enters its second century of operation.
